About Me

For most people, retirement doesn’t happen exactly when expected—and health events can be the biggest disruptors. I learned this firsthand when I was just 18. My father, then 48, was diagnosed with stage 3 renal cancer. During his treatment, he often talked about the financial steps he wished he had taken to better protect our family. Like so many others, he tried to get life insurance after his diagnosis, but it was too late. With no disability coverage, he had to withdraw his entire 401(k) just to keep us afloat.

My mother stepped up in a big way—transitioning from a restaurant job with no benefits to a healthcare company that offered a full retirement plan with matching contributions. Today, my father is in remission and just celebrated his 65th birthday. My mother continues to thrive, exploring retirement while teaching Zumba and working for the same healthcare company. They are my heroes and my inspiration.

Their journey taught me that the only constant is change—and that having the right support system can make all the difference. That’s why I’ve dedicated my life to helping others plan for the unexpected and live with confidence.
